Oregon-grown hop said to have Saaz and Styrian Golding characteristics. It has a low alpha acid content and makes a nice aroma hop, exhibiting deeply floral, grassy and earthy notes alongside a balanced, rounded bitterness. Flavor-wise it is said to demonstrate some fruitiness with hints of oak and honey. Sonnet Golding is Virgil Gamache Farms origination of the Saaz and English Kent Golding hops. Sonnet has a beautiful honeysuckle floral note with a sweet lemon citrus undertone. Use it in classic English styles, and of course cask conditioned ales.
